Alex, the restrictions may vary because different airlines may have different requirements. You may tell which airline you take and then I can help you find out the restrictions. Or you can call the airlines directly to get the information.

According to Air Canada, you can take one piece of luggage and one personal item. There total weight should be as much as 22lbs carry-on luggage (9 in x 15.5 in x 21.5 in). As for the checked luggage, it depends on where you fly from and where you will land. You'd better call Air Canada at 1-888-247-2262 to ask for details. I don't know where you fly from and to. It's impossible for me to figure out the requirements. If you don't want to make the call, please search Air Canada in Google and visit their official website to calculate the total weight limits according to flight itinerary.
