About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

Will the Chinese Consulate in SAPPORO provide a single entry Chinese visa for a UK citizen?

Hi, I am currently working in China, but my job will finish in May and I plan to travel to Hokkaido, Japan for 3 months. Afterwards, I want to come back to travel for 3 weeks. While I am in Hokkaido can I apply for a single entry L type at the consulate in Sapporo? If so how long does it take and how much does it cost?

I have heard some people say that we cannot apply ourselves and are required to go through a travel agency? Is this really true? If so please can you recommend a Chinese travel agency in Sapporo?

MANY THANKS!

Hello JS! The policy has changed and non-residents in Japan are not required to apply for the China entry permit through travel agencies any longer, so you can do it by yourself at the consulate. The whole process takes around four working days and fee for the entry permit is 4000 yen.

This phone number was found on the website of Chinese consulate in Sapporo. It's 011-563-5563. The service time is from 09:30 to 12:00 from Monday to Friday (except for Chinese and Japanese holidays). You may have a try.
