About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Hong Kong - Xi'an - Guangzhou. Am I eligible for the 72 hour transit entry permit exemption?

I will stay in Xian (en route from Hong Kong) less than 72 hours and depart to Katmandu changing planes in Guangzhou (all on same ticket). Also I will get Nepalese visa on arrival in Katmandu.

Well, since you will transit in two cities in China, I'm afraid you cannot make use of the 72 hour free transit policy.
