Applying for Student Visa

Dear Consular Office,
I am a Hungarian citizen and I would like to know if I can apply for a X type while I am in China. I am geting soon my COE from my school as well. I need a X type for half a year. Currently I am a trainee here. How long does it take to get the X type?

Thank you,
Nana

Nana, it depends on the local entry and exit management bureau. If it agrees that you can change your current one to X type, then you needn't go back to your country to apply for the X type. If it says No, then you need get back to your country to apply for the X type. If you change your current on to a X type without leaving, it may take around five working days. But don't forget to apply at least seven days before your current one expires. If you go back to apply, it takes four working days.
