About:China Transit Visa

How can I apply for the 72 hours free transit visa?

I live in Shanghai and I have my flight back to Milan on April 5th (student visa).

What if I go to HK to visit the city at the end of March, and then fly back to Shanghai to take my stuff (April 3rd) and to Milan within 72 hours (April 5th) ?

Hi Beatrice, your route qualifies for the 72 hour free transit policy. Tell the airline you intend to use the policy before the flight arrives and the airline will declare it for you. After reaching the airport, go to the office to go through the formalities. Then you can leave the airport.
