Taking photographs

Is it considered impolite to take photographs which include people without asking them first. Also is it possible to take a photograph of the security guards (police) around Tianamen Square.

Thanks to everyone who has answered by previous questions. Also is it possible to purchase Australian milk and other products in the local supermarkets.

Generally speaking, it’s ok. Most of them are polite and nice, taking picture of the police in the square is also acceptable. While, asking them first may be a better option.
As for the Australian milk and other products, you may try your luck in some supermarkets selling imported products like Metro. Products in most China's supermarkets are made locally.
