About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

can I apply for the transit visa for staying in Beijing for 2-3 days?

I am planning to pick-up my Mother from Beijing and then coming back to the UK with her within 3 days; wonder can I apply for the 72 hours transit at Beijing airport?

Jenny, where do you fly to Beijing? The UK? If so, I'm afraid you can't use the free transit policy.
