About:Policy for Foreigners with Immediate Family Living in China

Would we apply for the Q2 visa?

My family is going to China to visit relatives (moms siblings). Do I just need a letter from them saying that we are staying with them? Is there anything my relatives in China have to do?

Cindy, the invitation letter should include:
1. the invitee's name, sex and date of birth
2. visiting information: why she/he comes, when she/he comes, where she stays, the relationship between the inviter and financial resources
3. inviter's information: name, tel, address and signature

A copy of your relative's Chinese ID card is required too. Sometimes, kinship certificate is required too.

hi, I am dominik I recently traveled back to Germany where I come from. I am a divorcee and have 6 year old son who are both Chinese. For years I have been extended my residence permit in Beijing but at the end of last year it expired and now I want to extend tmy q1. problem is I only have a divorce certificate and various photo copies of birth certificates etc. Will those suffice? The notarized originals are at my sons grandparents in Beijing.Or can I use a regular tourist visa and extend my residence permit in Beijing like I used ?
