About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Double-checking

I'm going from country A to Shanghai from 9:55am on 3/27, to Kunming that night, and from Kunming to country B on the 30th. Since the transit visa is only for one city, does this mean that I have to stay in Shanghai airport the whole time because I'm seeing Kunming?

Becky, your flight route isn't ok for 72 hours free transit because you stop at two Chinese cities.
