About:China Visa Exemption

joining a cruise and will come to Shanghai early in the morning and leaving in the evening

I will be joining a cruise and will come to Shanghai early in the morning and leaving in the evening same day for about 10 hours. I am an Australian Citizen, holding Australian passport, is Visa required for entering Shanghai for a few hours?
