About:China Visa Application Procedure and Fee

Hi, I am travelling via Hong Kong to Kathmandu, Nepal. Which visa do I need to apply for?

I have Nepali passport but reside in Sydney. Inbound I have a transit for 2.5 hrs at Hong Kong airport. On the way back I will be stopping at Hong Kong for 2 nights. Thus, please advise which form do I need to fill (ID1003A or ID1003B)?

You just need to apply for the entry permit for visitor and transit. You can try to apply from Chinese consulate in Sydney. If they are able to issue it, you just need to wait for four working days. If your application needs to be sent to HK Immigration Department, it takes four to six weeks. Required documents are:
1. filled ID1003A form.
2. 48mmX33mm passport photo.
3. proof that you just transit in HK, flight tickets for example.
4. your passport.

On your return trip, you can try to apply from Chinese embassy in Nepal too.
