About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

What documents needed for applying for notarization by a US permanent resident on China passport?

The notarization document will be used in China. My wife will go to Washington D.C. the coming Friday. Where is your Notarization Department at Washington D.C. and what time is the opening and the closing on Friday?
Thanks,

Hong, you need to get your documents authenticated by Chinese consulate in New York if you plan to use them in mainland China. The required documents are:

1. filled notarization and authentication form
2. original and copy versions of your documents that have been notarized by your State Secretary or Authentication Office of Department of State

Usually, the documents should be notarized by Notary Public before you sent to State Secretary.

3. original an copy versions of your passport information page
4. if your document is business license related, you need to provide the passport of the legal person of the company (original and copy versions)
5. other documents required by the consulate

Opening hours: 9:00am-2:30pm (Monday to Friday except the holidays).
Address: Passport and Visa Office, Chinese Consulate General, 520 12th Ave. New York, NY 10036
