About:China Visa Application in UK

I am engaged to a Chinese national and want to go to China to get married.

Dear Madam/Sir

I was divorced in 1995 and have applied for a copy of my decree absolute as proof I am divorced. Do I need to bring a copy with my other documents when I apply for a visa? Also do I need to obtain a translation into mandarin before I submit my documents?

Regards

As you are not married, I think you can only apply for a tourist L type entry permit with your passport, a photocopy of the passport, a filled application form, recent photo, and invitation letter from your fiancee. After you arrive at China, the authenticated single status certificate is needed for registrating your marriage. In additon, you need to provide your passport, L type entry permit, and attested divorce certificate. The single status certificate and divorce certificate shoulf be translated by a certified translation company in China.
