About:How to Apply for a China Visa

Is an invitation letter needed for US college student to visit US student studying in China?

American college student would like to spend one week visiting his US-born Chinese friend who is studying in China. Does he need a letter from her ? Is she eligible to write the invitation letter even though she is not a citizen of China?

If you have booked round-trip flight tickets and hotel rooms, it is not necessary to provide the invitation letter. She can write you the invitation letter as long as she is in China now.
