Driving Service for visiting Mutianyu

Hi group! I asked a question a few months back about getting a private car as transportation. I spoke with my hotel's concierge desk and they quoted me 1,000 rmb which I know is outrageously over priced. I also checked with a driving service and they quoted me a price close to 500 is rmb round trip, however you can not make reservations (this part makes me nervous since I want to lock down my transportation now versus when I arrive in Beijing and am ready to hit the wall). Does anyone on here happen to know of a place or a person that can do the round trip for me around 500 rmb? It will be for two people total, spending about 3 hours at the wall, lunch nearby and then coming back into BJ mid afternoon.

Thanks for any help!

If you reserve this service through an agent, the charge is usually high, around 1000RMB. To save money, I would suggest you take an official taxi for a round trip at the cost of around CNY500. It can be secure and efficient.

Thank you for the help. I guess now my question is, how do I reserve or get a taxi? I basically want to make sure we can wake up in the morning, get in the taxi and go … Maybe I am being too picky :/

I have no problem with the idea of taking a taxi, I just want to get everything locked down.

You can dial 96106 to reserve a taxi. I remember they have English language service on phone. Tell them all your demand and they would arrange one for you. Hope they charge reasonably.
