How to apply for a Chinese Business Visa as visitor in Japan

Hello,
I am German and currently staying in Japan (less than 90 days). I would like to do a three month intern in Beijing and therefore need to apply for a M type (single entry). I have an invitation letter from my company. Can I apply without being registered as a foreigner in Japan?
Thanks, Christopher

You need to submit your application to Chinese embassy or consulate in person. Except for the invitation letter, passport, application form and photo, you should also take your valid entry record to Japan, copies of your passport and valid visa.
