i want to visit son in China, what documents will I need, I'm 67yrs old, and have no money

You need to apply for an L type. You will need the following documents: a valid passport, a phtocopy of the data page of the passport, a filled application form glued with your passport size photo taken within six months, and an invitation letter from your son.
