About:Hong Kong Long-Distance Bus

Hong Kong to Guangzhou South Station

Hi there - I know I can take the train from HK (Hung Hom) to GZ East, and then connect (in some way!) to GZ South Station. But are there any other more convenient routes? I know the HK to Lianhuashan Ferry, for example, and then connect by taxi? But what about buses direct from HK? Thanks! Stephen

Well, if you go Lianhuashan Ferry Terminal and then take taxi to reach, It is about 34.5 mi far and would cost at least CNY175. That’s not time-saving and economical at all.
If you don’t want to take train, you can take cross border coach operated by Chinalink from Jordan Nanking Street or Tsim Sha Tsui Elements. And get off at Guangzhou Hotel. There you can take subway line 2 from Haizhu Square to reach the south railway station. If by taxi, it would cost about CNY60.

Hi. What is the best method to go get to Guangzhou station, I heard of a bus directly from the airport to Guangzhou. What are the time schedules and the cost. What is the name of the bus?

yes, buses between HKIA and GZ Station are available They stop at Provincial Bus Station closeby the rail station. From 08:00 to 18:00, there are about 10 buses for you to choose.

For more choices, you can also take a bus from the airport to China Hotel by Marriott Guangzhou. From 07:00 to 22:15, there are more than 100 buses to the hotel, you can easily catch one. The bus fare is HKD250. After getting off, take a taxi to GZ Station at the cost of around CNY10.

Thanks! Actually, I also found there are buses direct from various places in HK to Guangzhou South. I can't confirm the schedules.
