About:Chinese Embassy in South Korea

I am wanting to know what I need in terms of visas in order to do this.

Hi there, I am British Citizen currently living and working in Seoul. My ARC will be void as I will have to quit my job. I am wanting to travel to China on a single flight on the 15th of Feb, and stay in China for up to 2 months. From there I will move on to other countries. Kind regards, Rick.

Hi Ethan! You should apply for a tourist L type, but I'm afraid you may not be granted a stay of up to two months as the allowed stay of L type is usually only one month.

Hey Ronald. Thanks for the reply! Am I right in saying that if I was to go straight from Seoul to HK, I wouldn't require a visa? Would I have to have return flights booked or anything?... Is it only mainland China that requires L type? Sorry for all the questions! Regards

Yes, you're right, only mainland China requires the L type. If you go straight from Seoul to HK, you are not required for the entry permit as long as your stay in HK is less than 180 days. The return flights are not required either.
