I will go to China this february and I will stay there with a student visa X1 till the end of july.

Hi, I wanted to go to visit a friend in South Korea before going back to Italy. Is it possible to visit Korea and then go back? Do I have to do another one to go to Korea? And will my X1 type still be valid when I go back since i will go back before it expires? Or I have to do another one since I went out?

Don't worry. You need to change your X1 type with 30 days into a temporary resdent permit after you arrive in. With this permit in hands, you can exit and reenter China without a problem.
