Hello, Ive gotta go to guangzhou for 6 days, I'm in Thailand at the moment. Do I need a visa?

I was in Macau last year and took the ferry to Hong Kong.. There was not problem to get in and out but if I wanna go to guangzhou from Hong Kong I'm afraid I may not be able to get a VOA? I need some advise

You need to apply for a L type in advance. Since you are in Thailand, you may try to apply from Chinese embassy or consulate before you go to Guangzhou.
