About:China Transit Visa

Do I need to get visa for 1 week of stay in China?

My Boyfriend is from Germany but he will have a meeting with some of his client in China this march and because of that we planned to see each other in China for just one week. I will have my back and fort ticket.
Please let me know what to do about it as I really need an answer as soon as possible. Thanks

Lorie, you need to apply for a L type. Except your passport, application form and a recent passport photo, you should provide round-trip air tickets and hotel reservation. If you come for the first time, you should provide any of the following documents, your recent six months bank statement, professional ID, employment certificate or BIR-stamped tax form.

what is a L type? What does it mean? and for my Case that I was invited with foreign Just like me in China and he will be the one who's gonna sponsor my tickets and all the expenses, plus I am still waiting for my passport as I just applied just this month. so I wanna know what are the requirements needed if this is the case and I also want to know if how long it will take for me to be able to get my application done where our plan will be in fiirst week of april.

Lorie, it's one that allows you to come to China fo tourism purpose. If your BF sponsors your trip, you should write an explanation letter to state this clearly. But I personally think it would be much better if you can provide any document I mentioned about. They are much more useful than the explanation letter. It takes four working days for Chinese embassy to deal with your application.
