About:Hong Kong Visa Policy

Passport Validity for conference in HK: Nigerian doctoral student residing in Japan

Dear sir, I am a doctoral student in Japan and hold a Nigerian Passport which is valid until August, 2015. I intend to visit HK in May, 2015 (3- 5 days) for a conference. Please could you inform me concerning my eligibility to obtain the HK visa. Thank for your anticipated response

Lekan, I am afraid that your passport isn't accepted if you apply from Chinese embassy in Japan. If you plan to apply from HK Immigration Department by post, it takes four to six weeks. So you may ask the department directly whether your passport is accepted.
