About:Chinese Consulate in Edinburgh

Authentication of marriage certificate from consulate/ embassy

My wife & I have secured work in Shanghai from August 1st 2015. As part of our employment process our new employer has asked for Authentication of marriage certificate from consulate/ embassy. Which Edinburgh building should I be attempting to gain this authorisation?

First you should have the marriage certificate notarized by an local notarization agency authorized by the UK Foreign Affairs Ministry. Then take the marriage certificate and the notarization certificate to the consulate general in Ediburgh to asstest it.
