About:Mutianyu Great Wall

Staying at Prime Hotel Wangfujing, would like to catch local transport to Mutianyu wall

want to catch the quickest easiest public transport, however would love to also visit Ming Tombs - on way home. Is there a bus/train to Tombs on way back to Beijing? or could we catch local transport there in morning and get a Taxi 1 way return to Tombs then to Beijing? how much would this cost?

Tracy, I am afraid that you may not finish visiting these two places by public transport means. If you plan to visit these two places in a day, you should rent a car and driver. Or you may see whether there is a one-day tour to these two places.

To visit Mutianyu, you need to walk around 540 meters to reach Dongsi subway Station. There you can take subway line 6 and get off at Chaoyangmen Station. Then change subway line 2 to get off at Dongzhimen and get out from Exit E. Then walk to the bus station to take no.916 (express) to reach Huairou North Street. Then you can choose to take a minivan walk to the other side of the road to take bus H23, H24 or 936 to the wall.

I think you should spare at least 5 to 6 hours to have a trip to Mutianyu by public bus.
