Ivory carvings

I am Australian and ivory is not permitted to be brought into Australia. However, I am totally against the slaughter of elephants for their tusks. Would it be impolite if I did not enter premises to see ivory being carved.

I am a bit nervous because I originally came from Ireland and at times am unable to stop myself from saying something, so I believe the best thing is to stay away from such activities.

Would that be okay? Please help as I do not wish to get arrested and I am a solo traveller.

Of course it is ok. I think you are right. It is a very cruel thing to slaughter elephants for their tusks. It is also do harm to our environment.
