You can take bus KM – Fazhe from the North Bus Station, and get off at Huashitou Village. One day trip may be too hurried, you’re suggested to spend one night there.
Besides, I heard that the best time to go is May and June, or Sep. to Dec. So if you go there Apr. you may miss the best view.

The best way to Hongtudi is to hire a private car - inclusive day-trip for $ 100, excluding $20 for airport pickup.
