Tahir, have you already got admitted by any schools in China? If so, you should apply for an X type at the CVASC in India. You can submit the required documents, such as the passport, photocopy of the passport's data page, application form with your recently taken passport size photo stuck on it, the original and photocopy of your admission letter, etc. If you are applying for a X1 type, you should go to the local exit and entry administration bureau to apply for a residence permit within 30 days after your arrival. If you are applying for a X2 type, you should leave before the X2 expires.
