About:Harbin Ice Festival

Details about things to see in Harbin

Hi I am visiting from Shanghai by myself and will either stay 2/3 days or 4/5.
How long do you think I could spend there?
I'm interested primarily in the ice festival but also would like to see the city if it's worth it? What are the main sites?
And also as it costs quite a lot to get into both ice festival areas, could you recommmend one or otherwise are they particularly similar or? There isn't a joint ticket for both? Is it recommended to visit the 'ice and snow world' in the evening, as it seems much more expensive then..?
Sorry for all the questions!

If you don’t plan to go to Snow town or Yabuli Ski Resort, 3 days would be enough. The city is not that big.
Of course the city is worth to see. It is a city with a long history. The main sites including the Central Avenue, Songhuajiang River Bank, St. Sophia Church, Volga Manor, Flood Control Monument, and Stalin Park.
For the several ice festival areas, it’s hard to say which one is better. Because all of them have their own characteristics and charms. If you really want to go each of them, the Ice and Snow World, Sun Island and Zhaolin Park would be preference.
To go there in evening would be ok, you will enjoy a different night view.
