I am a Mexican citizen. What are the documents and requirements I need for a visa?

Hi I am a Mexican Citizen but I have a green card. I am planing to visit my girlfriend 20 days from now but the Chinese embassy doesn't give me clear details on what I need to get it? What are the documents and requirements I need? And can I just use the plane ticket or do I need a hotel reservation?

I think you may apply for a L type from the Chinese consulate. It requires your passport, filled application form, a recent passport photo, round-trip air tickets and hotel booking in mainland China. Besides, a copy of your greeen card might be required. If you GF can send you an invitation letter, you needn't provide the air-tickets and hotel reservation.

The letter can either be in Chinese or English language. I suggest her write it in Chinese. The stamp is not required, her signature will suffice.

Generally speaking, they will give the stay duration according to your situation. I think it's very possible that they will give you a 30-day stay.
