About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

I am in china for post doctoral research work and i have Z-work VISA for one year (to January-2016)

but after that i need to extend my Z type one year (up to January-2017) more but my at that time passport will be expire (November-2016), so is it possible to renew my passport in china? And when i need to renew?

Yes, you can renew your passport at the embassy or consulate of India in China. You are required to submit your application at least two months before it expires because it takes two months to deal with your application.
