Roht, did you confirm with local entry and exit management bureau that you need to get the documents notarized? According to what I know, you need to get your marriage certificate notarized by local notary office in your country, then get it cerftified by your Ministry of Foreign Affairs and then attest it at Chinese embassy. Finally you can bring it into China.

So I think you should ask local entry and exit management bureau whether you need to follow the procedure I mentioned above. If they just ask you to notarize your marriage certificate by local notary office. It's easy. You just need to find a qualified translation company to translate your marriage certificte into Chinese and then go to get it notarized by local notary office. According to what I know, it usually takes a month. However, you may apply to use the green channel if you are in a hurry. As for the charge, you need to ask the notary office.

The municipal notary office is located on the sixth floor of Jinfu Mansion, Xinquan South Road. You may take no.1, 6, 11, 19 or 20 bus to reach the notary office.
