is any police clearance certificate required for getting an invitation letter

I am an Indian citizen and I am trying to get work visa in china(Z category), to get an invitation letter for the same is it required to provide any police clearance certificate (that obtained from india)?

There is no requirement for the police clearance certiicate to get the invitation letter from the duly authorized unit. However, to get the alien work permit, you may be required submit a non-criminal record.
