multiple visas, is it possible?

I have an invitation letter from a company to apply for a M type for 3 months (4jun - 4sep). I was thinking of booking my flight to arrive in Beijing a week earlier and leave a week later than the dates of my M type. Is there a way to do that? Like having different ones? What would the best solution be? thanks for your time

You'd better not arrive in advance. Otherwise, you are required to apply for another one. Then your M type will be void if you get another one. If you plan to stay longer time, you may ask for the extension of your M type at least 7 days before it expires. If you succeed, you can stay longer time.
