Zippo Lighter To Sydney

Hi my friend bought me a zippo lighter but she is afraid that you are not allowed to and they will take it. so I'm wondering if you're allowed to and do you take it as checked lugguage or carry on or do you have to have it in person.

Chris, Chinese domestic airlines don't allow passengers to take lighters no matter they put the lighters in their carrery-on luggage or checked baggage. However, some people said that it's ok to bring one if the passenger takes the international airline. However, it should be put in the checked luggage.
