Application returned

Does application returned means Visa rejection? because they gave the "Notice of Returned Application" with reason "Visit purpose not clear" tick marked. They didnt write/stamp anything on passport. When next time I apply with complete documentation, what should I mention in application w.r.t. last application (rejected/not rejected/reason)? Thanks in advance.

Hi Joshi! Application returned does not mean you application is rejected. By returning your application, the embassy requires you to modify or submit more materials for the application. You can just make your visit purpose clear by providing more materials. Don't worry.
