Hi, I’m a UK citizen, flight return ticket was booked from London to Shenzhen,14days travel.LONDON to SHENZHENSHENZHEN to LONDON Could you please answer me as follows:1. Am I eligible to apply 144 hours visa free transit if pre-booking ferry ticket to Hong Kong and my friend’s address to stay in Shenzhen within 144hours, or have to book hotel in advance? 2. If the visa free transit was successful, can I get the 24 hrs free transit again by booking ferry from Hong Kong  to Shenzhen airport, and back to London? Or do I have to apply Chineses Visa at Hong Kong?

1. If your itinerary is London - Shenzhen - HK - Shenzhen - London, then you are eligible for the 144-hour visa free transit. It is suggested to book a hotel for at least one night. 2. You are okay to use 24 or 144 again from Hk to Shenzhen to London. No need to apply for a visa.

For your first itinerary you will take a ferry from Shekou port to Hong KongThe ferry you will take is provided by CKS - Chu Kong Passenger Transport. Also, you will have to print out that tickets and have it with you. One more detail, you will really have to take exactly that ferry you have bought your ticket for.Also, you can stay at your friend’s address, but you will have to register yourself at local PSB within 24 hours. For your second itinerary, you are not eligible for visa free transit!However, you will take a morning ferry from Hong Kong to Shekou port in Shenzhen apply there for 5 days visa on arrival and then you can depart from Shenzhen to London on nonstop flight. Please, have in mind that the price for UK citizens is 314 CNY and you should pay for it in a cashless way.
