About:Hong Kong International Airport

how much time to deplane, go thru customs, and catch another plane?

scheduled arrival from USA to HKG at 6 pm local time on American Airline. Same day, need to catch Singapore Airline from HKG to Singapore scheduled departure at 8 pm. Will I have enough time to deplane? Do I need to go through customer in HKG before catching the Singapore flight? How much time do I need?

Well, your time shall be enough for this transit. As I know, you don't need to go through the immigration, which saves you much time. And you should reach your boarding gate at least 30min ahead of your flight schedule.
