About:Chinese Embassy in Canada

renewal of my china return permit in HK

My permit expires on Dec 20, 2015. I have a US passport. and a 3 star HK permanent ID card. Can I just drop in to HK China Travel service and apply for the renewal without making an appointment and how long will it take before I get the new permit? Can I get it on the same day if I go in before the expiration date?

David, you can go to there and apply without appoinment. However, they have online-appointment service too. If you are afraid that there will be too many applicants, you may make an appointment in advance. It takes 12 days to deal with your application. I am sorry that same-day pick-up service isn't available.
