How busy is it 1-7 October, Chinese National Day in Chengdu and Shanghai.

Colin, these are two popular tourist destinations in China. It will be very busy and crowded because too many tourists swarm into these two cities. If you don't like the crowds, I think you should avoid visiting these two cities during the holiday.
