About:

Is D183 train tickets refundable - if cancelled before departure?

I used a agent to book tickets in train D183 Hongqiao to Shangqiu for Jan 6. But had to cancel my trip and informed to cancel the train ticket too on Jan 2. But the agent is claiming it cannot be cancelled and asking for full price of the ticket. Please let me know whether it can be cancelled and any part of the price is refundable? Also, how much would this ticket cost?

Sorry I cannot find this train number…But I can surely tell you that high speed train from Hongqiao to Shangqiu cost CNY347 for first class and CNY222 for second class.

The ticket is refundable. If you already have the paper ticket, you need to take it to the train station to have it refunded. If you haven’t got the ticket yet, you can only refund it on internet. Thus you may need the help of the agent. And you need to pay service fee for this.
