I am a Burmese student studying in Voronezh, Russia. This summer holidays, I would like to visit to Hong Kong, so I would like to know that what kind of documents do I need in order to get a permit to Hong Kong, how long will it take and how much does it cost?Sincerely,Thiha Kyaw Naing

If you just go to HK for visiting, the Visit/Transit Type is required. For the documents, you need to prepare your valid passport, an application form, a recent taken photo, your hotel bookings and round trip tickets and proof of visiting purpose for application. You can go to the local Chinese embassy for application. If the embassy has the right to issue you this type, it takes around four working days. If the embassy cannot accept, it may take around 4 to 6 weeks. The fare is 160HKD per person.
