About:China Embassy in Thailand

Advice please. I plan on a trip to Hong Kong 29th January for 13 nights

with perhaps a ferry trip to Macau for 3 nights during the same period.

I hold a UK passport and reside in Thailand and have a retirement extension visa.

My girlfriend is Cambodian and hold a Cambodian passport with a 3 month visa for Thailand. She would be travelling with me to HK and Macau.

Can you assist by telling me what we would require to do to ensure she has the correct visa requirements for HK and Macau. Unfortunately I have already booked our return flights to HK :-(

We plan on visiting Bangkok on 8th January for 5 6 days and could visit the Chinese Embassy during this period.

It would be a great help if you could provide a link to the required application form as the one one at the top of this page appears to relate only to mainland China.

It would also be useful to know the address of consulate as unclear from above if Ambassador address is same as consulate office.

Thanks in advance for any assistance provided.

James

For applying to visit HK, she needs to prepare her valid passport, an application form, a recent taken photo, hotel booking, round trip tickets, proof of visiting purpose, the financial status proof. For visiting Macau, she needs to prepare almost the similar documents and she can apply this one when she reaches the ferry teerminal in Macau.

The application form of HK can be found on https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa.htm or you can look for it on the official website of HK Immigration Department.

Thank You that is very useful information. The only aspect I am still not sure about is 'the financial status proof' - she will be travelling with me and I will be paying all costs including food etc. I think she has some sort of savings account in Cambodia but I am not sure how much she has in it.

Thanking you in advance for any advice you can provide.

Regards
James

Hi James, the "financial status proof" can be her bank statements, savings accounts passbooks, tax receipts, etc. Have a good trip!
