About:Apply for China Visa in a Third Country

Malaysian to obtain a visa

I am a Malaysian holding a Malaysian passport working in Taiwan and holding a ARC in Taiwan.
I understand from the travel agent that i am not able to apply the china visa in Taiwan for the first-timer. From above article i am not very sure am i able to apply from HK? or i need to go back Malaysia? Thanks!

I think there is little chance that you can apply one in Hong Kong. You can try to entrust a travel agency in Hong Kong with the application, which may be expensive. Otherwise, you need to go back to Malaysia for the application.

BTW, could you explain to me what is ARC? Is it a residence card in Taiwan?

ARC is Alien Resident Card as Taiwan sees all foreigner as alien haha =D
