What is the longest time I can stay in China as a US citizen?

I migrated to the US 10 years ago from China and have become a US citizen but now I want to go back to China to start my own business. However, I don't want to lose my US citizenship so what is the longest time I can stay there without having to come back to the US?

Do you have Chinese lineal relatives who are residing in China? If yes, perhaps you can apply for an Q1 type, with which you can stay for a long time in China.

Hi Bob. Q1 type is issued to those who are family members of Chinese citizens or of foreigners with Chinese permanent residence and intend to go to China for family reunion, or to those who intend to go to China for the purpose of foster care. The intended duration of stay in China exceeds 180 days. If you are holding the Q1 type, you should apply for a residence permit at the local exit/entry administrations of public security after your entry. And the max time you can stay depends on the valid duration of your residence permit.
