Hi, Ethan! As you hold an Australian passport, you must apply for the entry permit in accordance with the normal procedures for Australians.

Ethan, you can go to the Office of the Commissioner of the PRC Foreign Affairs Ministry and apply for an L type by providing the following materials: your passport and a phtotocopy of the data page, application form and a photo within six months, and the invitation letter from your relative in China. If you have had a Chinese passport, it should also be submitted.
