Christina, the process isn't complicated. Ancient Chinese people mixed clay, sand and battered shells together an moulded into different shapes. Then a mixture of water and clay was daubed on the surface. Before it was fired, it was usually placed in a cool place to be dried. Finally, it was put into the kiln and fired.
