About:China Customs Declaration

Can I take camera with GPS function into China?

I read somewhere that you cannot take a camera into China that has a GPS function for tagging the photos, is this correct? If I can take it in, do I need to declare it as a communication device?

Jane, I think you needn't declare it at the customs. Today many cameras have built-in GPS function. If you are worried, you can declare it when you pass the customs.
