You can apply it through the local CVASC in New Delhi to apply it.
You will go to China for a long-term studying, you can apply for a Student X1 type and a X2 typy is required for a short-term studying. Would you mind to tell me your detail please? The specific requirements are different based on the different types.

Then you should apply for a X1 type. It requires your passport, filled application form together with a recent six months passport photo, original and copy versions of your admission letter from your school and JW202 form. After you get your X1 type, you need to change it for a temporary resident permit at local entryand exit management bureau within 30 days when you arrive.
