fly from shanghai to eu but i'm in thayland, fly to china chendu connection to shanghai

Hi I'm Tommaso from Italy. I'm in Thailand but my fly back to Europe is from Shanghai, I check the flyight and I can book a fly from Thailand to Chendu in China where it is the connection to another fly to shagai, I will arrive the 21st at 11 am in Shanghai, but my fly is at 1am the 23rd of dicember.Can I do that? Changing airplane even if I don't have visa in Chendu? Thank you very much!!

Tommaso, I think you need to apply for a G type in advance if your transit time in Chengdu and Shanghai is longer than 24 hours. You know, you are not eligible for 72 hours free transit because you stop at two cities.
